Found that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the Computer which can be named as "CON". This is something funny and inexplicable? At Microsoft the whole Team, couldn't answer why this happened! TRY IT NOW, IT WILL NOT CREATE A "CON" FOLDER
con is the folder type reserved by the Ms- dos register create so the any users can’t create folders named con only windows system also these folders can’t create check this out • CON • PRN • AUX • NUL • COM1 • COM2 • COM3 • COM4 • COM5 • COM6 • COM7 • COM8 • COM9 • LPT1 • LPT2 • LPT3 • LPT4 • LPT5 • LPT6 • LPT7 • LPT8 • LPT9 In MS-DOS, these are the special "device files" were available to aid in performing certain tasks, such as clearing the screen or deleting extraneous output from a program. So the above file names are reserved:Because of this no one can create duplicate files renaming with above file names.
